Events Director

Company:    5-Star Integrated Hotel/Resort (Cebu City)

Position:       DIRECTOR OF EVENTS

Our client is a luxury integrated resort complex based in Cebu City who is looking for a Director of Events to join their team.  The role is expected to achieve the budgeted banquet/catering revenue for the hotel by (1) maximizing banquet and catering opportunities consistent with the hotel’s business plans; and (2) effectively and efficiently servicing guests, groups and local events.

Responsibilities:

• Achieves committed total revenue budget.
• Directs the F&B sales and event services efforts to maximize revenue with a working knowledge of food & beverage compositions and an understanding of kitchen and banquet service procedures.
• Conducts hotel tours and entertains guests and corporate clients.
• Directly supervises Sales & Event Managers and ensures that the team is meeting targets.
• Implements the brand’s service strategy and applicable brand initiatives in all aspects of the sales process and drives customer loyalty by delivering service excellence throughout each customer experience.
• Maintains a collaborative working relationship with all functional heads of the hotel.
• Ensures quality standards are met in customer servicing and events management.
• Ensures policies, procedures, and systems are established and in place to respond to customer requirements/concerns within a defined response period.

Qualifications:

1. With a Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management or related fields.
2. Must have at least 15 years of experience in the hotel industry, preferably from 4 and 5-star properties. Should have exposure to the Cebu / Visayan market.
3. With a hotelier personality/stance and strong communication skills.
